About the Artwork:
The work "Return "relates to the earlier works "Education" and "Letting go" from this series. With every person we let into our lives, a part of us is given away. We shape the other person and he or she shapes us. At some point, however, there always comes a moment to let go and walk away. Everyone goes on different paths or even leaves the other person behind. Every person goes through these processes again and again when encountering other people. This process is most formative with one's own children. But it is the same with other relationships.
The work "The Return" shows the moment of returning home. Two figures in the left half of the picture embrace each other. One figure appears larger than the other. Other figures from the right half of the picture approach the embracing ones. This moment is comparable to the parable "The Prodigal Son", which the family takes back in joy and gratitude.
The white wooden frame was made by the artist.

Über das Werk:
Das Werk "Rückkehr "bezieht sich auf die früheren Arbeiten "Erziehung" und "Loslassen" aus dieser Serie. Mit jedem Menschen, den wir in unser Leben lassen, wird ein Teil von uns abgegeben. Wir prägen den Anderen und er oder sie uns. Irgendwann kommt jedoch immer der Moment des Loslassen und des Gehens. Jeder bestreitet andere Wege oder lässt gar die andere Person zurück. Diese Prozesse durchläuft jeder Mensch immer wieder im Aufeinandertreffen mit anderen Menschen. Am prägendsten ist dieser Prozess mit den eigenen Kindern. Doch steht es auch so mit anderen Beziehungen.
Das Werk "Die Rückkehr" zeigt den Moment der Heimkehr. Zwei Figuren in der linken Bildhälfte umarmen sich. Eine Figur erscheint größer als die andere. Weitere Figuren aus der rechten Bildhälfte kommen auf die sich Umarmenden zu. Dieser Moment ist vergleichbar mit der Parabel "Der verlorene Sohn", den die Familie in Freude und Dankbarkeit wieder aufnimmt.
Der weiße Holzrahmen wurde von der Künstlerin angefertigt.
