About the Artwork:
The painting "Murten" from the series "Wege" shows the Swiss town not far from Bern. It is located right by the French side of Switzerland called "Morat". For the artist, the town has a personal connection as an exhibition venue and as a town of beautiful memories and new ideas.
The work, painted in acrylic, is composed of fragments that lie very close together. Interlaced with various graphic forms in blue, orange, bronze and white, a city becomes directly recognisable and behind it a landscape. Despite a high degree of abstraction, houses, towers, trees, mountains and the sky are clear components of the diverse composition. Only the strokes in the horizontal centre behind the houses are not immediately definable. It is Lake Murten and, on the opposite side, the small town of "Morat".

Über das Werk:
Das Gemälde „Murten“ aus der Serie „Wege“ zeigt das Schweizer Städtchen nicht weit von Bern. Es liegt direkt bei der französischen Seite der Schweiz mit dem Namen „Morat“. Für die Künstlerin hat die Stadt einen persönlichen Bezug als Ausstellungsort und als eine Stadt schöner Erinnerungen und neuer Ideen.
Das Werk, gemalt in Acryl setzt sich aus sehr eng beieinander liegenden Fragmenten zusammen. Verschachtelt aus verschiedenartigen graphischen Formen in Blau, Orange, Bronze und Weiß wird direkt eine Stadt und dahinter eine Landschaft erkenntlich. Trotz eines hohen Abstraktionsgrades sind Häuser, Türme, Bäume, Berge und der Himmel deutliche Bestandteile der vielfältigen Komposition. Nur die Striche in der horizontalen Mitte hinter den Häusern sind nicht sofort festzulegen. Es ist der Murtener See und auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite das Städtchen „Morat“.
