About the Artwork:
The work "Der Waldspaziergang" (Walk in the Woods) comes from the series "Wege" (Paths) and moves from purely two-dimensional to three-dimensional creation. Beige shapes stand out brilliantly against the turquoise and black. The striking and playful forms of Veronika Spleiss are given all the more tension and variety without changing the structures and the exactness of the works.
The work shows a mass, a "sea" of trees in heaped up shapes and colours. In the centre of the work there is a small figure stretching upwards towards the trees. She is almost unrecognisable. For it almost disappears into the structures of the forest. The flood of detail in the work brings to mind the saying, "You can't see the forest for the trees." But in the end, the bigger picture can be captured.

Über das Werk:
Das Werk "Der Waldspaziergang" stammt aus der Serie "Wege" und geht vom rein zweidimensionalen in das dreidimensionale Schaffen über. Beige Formen heben sich glänzend vom Türkis und Schwarz ab. Den markanten und spielerischen Formen von Veronika Spleiss wird umso mehr Spannung und Abwechslung verliehen, ohne die Strukturen und die Exaktheit der Werke zu verändern.
Das Werk zeigt ein Masse, ein "Meer" an Bäumen in aufgehäuften Formen und Farben. Im Mittelpunkt des Werkes findet sich eine kleine Figur, die sich zu den Bäumen nach oben streckt. Sie ist kaum erkennbar. Denn sie scheint geradezu in den Strukturen des Waldes zu verschwinden. Die Flut an Details des Werkes erinnert an das Sprichwort: "Man sieht den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht." Doch letztendlich lässt sich dann doch das größere Ganze des Werkes erfassen.
