About the Artwork:
The "Levels" from the artistic series "Perspectives" addresses the theme of the steps in a neutral form that shines through the yellow colour. In the course of his life, the human being changes continuously. It grows, learns, develops and withers. Each time it seems as if man is entering a new level, which can go up as well as down in a hierarchy of its own.
"Levels" symbolically illustrates this principle of development. Instead of a typical black border, the colour yellow is used. Black would bring the effect of depth and precision, yellow, on the other hand, emphasizes the flowing, changing transition of levels.

Über das Werk:
„Ebenen“ aus der künstlerischen Reihe „Perspektiven“ spricht in neutraler, durch die gelbe Farbe leuchtender, Form das Thema der Stufen an. Im Laufe seines Lebens verändert sich der Mensch kontinuierlich. Er wächst, lernt, entwickelt sich und verwelkt. Jedes Mal erscheint es, als ob der Mensch eine neue Ebene betritt, die in einer eigenbetrachteten Hierarchie nach oben als auch unten gehen kann.
„Ebenen“ zeigt symbolisch diesen Grundsatz der Entwicklung auf. Statt einer für Veronika Spleiss typisch schwarzen Umrandung wird die Farbe Gelb verwendet. Schwarz würde Tiefe und Exaktheit erwirken, Gelb hebt dagegen den fließenden sich ändernden Übergang von Ebenen hervor.
